How to merge PDF files on a Chromebook
ChromeOS has a capable PDF viewer in the Gallery app, but no built-in way to join two PDFs into one. Since a Chromebook already lives in the browser, the browser tool is the native route in everything but name.
Is there a built-in way on a Chromebook?
No. Chromebook has nothing built in for this, and the closest things get in the way:
- Gallery opens a PDF for reading, highlighting and drawing, but has no insert or combine command.
- Print → Save as PDF works on one open document at a time and cannot append another.
What that means
- No native merge on ChromeOS.
- Android apps from the Play Store can do it, but each is a separate install and most send the file to a server.

Open the tool in Chrome, click Choose file, and pick the document from the Files app.

use the arrows beside each file. The list order is the page order of the merged document.
